Love Letter to Brighton

Although this blog post is EXTREMELY overdue, I feel as if I must talk about my day trip to beautiful Brighton, England. Located about 2 hours out from London, Brighton has stolen my heart and has no intentions on giving it back. When booking my trip to Brighton over a month now, it was extremely impromptu. All I knew I wanted to see more of England, and had to decide between Liverpool or Brighton. Most of everyone I met so far in London has told me that Brighton “seems like a place you will like” and at the moment I did not know if I should take as a compliment or an insult so I decided to see for myself.

When arriving to Brighton, I instantly felt like I was back in Los Angeles, cruising the streets of Santa Monica or Venice Beach. Although I basically hated my time in Los Angeles, Brighton made me think about all the good parts Los Angeles had to offer. Brighton had it all for me, sun and an amazing pier. It was the epitome of a beach town, right down to the slightly cheesy pier that looks like hasn’t been renovated since 1965.

So retro!

My time in Brighton made feel just a tad bit happier. Maybe it was the delicious almond croissant, walking along the pier, or just looking at people happy to be alive. Brighton seemed like the place where people can be whatever or whoever they want, and not feel judged. For that reason, Brighton will always have a special place in heart.

I wanted to move after taking this picture

Thanks Brighton, you made me feel little bit brighter.
